In April 2021, the 5th China Aquaculture Science and Technology Conference, hosted by the China Fisheries Association, was grandly held at the Tongwei International Center in Chengdu, Sichuan. The theme of this conference is "Technology Leads Industry, Intelligence Transforms, Quality Promotes Fisheries". Five academicians, four chief scientists, and more than 800 heavyweight guests from governments, associations, international authoritative organizations, agricultural and animal husbandry doctoral groups, and enterprises gathered together. The conference reached a historic high in scale.

On the afternoon of April 8th, the conference held a special seminar on "Factory based Cultivation of South American White Shrimp" and "Collaborative Innovation in Transformation and Upgrading of Aquaculture Enterprises". Dr. Sun Jianming, a doctoral supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a wonderful keynote speech on the industrial shrimp farming technology using recycled water, sharing with everyone the new green and environmentally friendly shrimp farming model in the field of recycled water. To actively develop a green, high-quality, efficient, and intelligent aquaculture industry, accelerate the progress and innovation of aquaculture technology, and contribute ideas and suggestions for promoting the high-quality industrialization of aquaculture.
